The Story That Shaped Us
Our first complete home transformation wrapped up beautifully. The home passed all permit inspections and a pre-purchase inspection, and everything closed out smoothly. But a year later, we encountered something that would change the way we do business forever.
The homeowner reached out with serious plumbing failures. Even quality inspections can’t catch “future issues”. By this time, any warranty would have expired, and like most, it wouldn’t have transferred to a new homeowner anyway. To make matters worse, the original plumbing contractor had since closed their doors, leaving the homeowner stranded with little recourse.
Where our Advocacy was Born.
We had no legal obligation. But we knew we had a human obligation.
We stepped in, bringing in a new, vetted plumbing contractor and invested just over $10,000 of our own to make it right. That experience proved how critical it is to have someone monitoring your project not just during construction, but the warranty period and beyond as well.
It also pushed us to review our own processes and industry standards, so no homeowner we work with ever has to fell alone and face that kind of desperation.
